    Fitting Instructions

Please Note: Your vertical blind comes with two bracket options. Follow the steps according to the bracket type you are using.

  • Face fix brackets are designed for mounting to the wall or window frame.

  • Top fix brackets are intended for ceiling installation or fitting within the window recess.
  • To ensure the blind operates smoothly, position brackets away from any window door handles or any other obstructions.

    Step 1

    Bracket Positioning

    Inside Recess

To fit blinds inside the recess you have two options:

    1. Top fix the brackets to the lintel.
    2. Face fix bracket to the window frame .
    Outside Recess

Ensure measurement C (diagram above) is equal on both sides for even coverage.

    Step 2

    Option 1: Top Fixing

If you're attaching the bracket to the underside of the window recess, measure and mark the distance (D), accounting for any obstructions such as handles that protrude into the recess. Position the brackets approximately 5cm from each end of where the headrail will be placed. If more than two brackets are provided, install the additional brackets evenly spaced along the length of the blind. Ensure that the fixings are appropriate for the wall or surface where the brackets are being mounted.

    Option 2: Face Fixing

If you're attaching the brackets to the wall or window frame, position them approximately 5cm from each end of where the headrail will be placed. If more than two brackets are provided, space the additional brackets evenly across the length of the blind. Ensure the fixings are appropriate for the wall or surface where the brackets will be mounted.

    Step 3

    Option 1: Top Fixing

Tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket at point (E). Rotate it into place until it clicks securely. To release the headrail, push the bracket at point (F) as indicated in the diagram above.

    Option 2: Face Fixing

Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into place. Secure the headrail by tightening the short screw at the front of the bracket.

    Step 4

    Child Safety Device

Position safety device on wall and mark the two screw holes. Drill holes and secure suitable screws to secure device.

Please Note: To prevent the chain from slacking, the child safety device must be fixed at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism. The chain must be taut.

    Warning: Child Safety

Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes, and inner cords that control the product. To prevent strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of reach of young children, as they can wrap around a child’s neck. Move beds, cots, and furniture away from window covering cords. Do not tie cords together and ensure they do not twist or form a loop.

    Slats - Step 1

    Attaching Fabric Vertical Slat

This step applies to the fabric range. You can identify this by the type of headrail traveller and slat fitting provided. Once the headrail is installed, hook each fabric slat into the headrail travellers, ensuring the traveller pegs are in the open position.

    Attaching PVC Vertical Slat

This step applies to the PVC/Waterproof range. The type of headrail traveller and slat fitting provided will help you identify this range. Once the headrail is installed, hook each PVC slat into the headrail travellers, making sure the traveller pegs are in the open position.

    Step 2

    Bottom Weights & Stabilising Chain

If your vertical blinds come with separate bottom weights, insert the weights into the bottom pockets of each vertical slat.

Attach the stabilising chain by pushing the connectors onto the ears of each bottom weight. Ensure the stabilising chain is connected on both sides of the blind.

    Maintenance

    Visual Checks

Your new blinds are maintenance free, but we recommend regular visual inspections to ensure no components are damaged, as this could lead to operational issues or pose a safety risk.
