Fitting Instructions
To ensure the blind operates smoothly, position brackets away from any window door handles or any other obstructions.
Step 1
Bracket Positioning
Inside Recess
To fit blinds inside the recess you have two options:
- Top fix the brackets to the lintel.
- Face fix bracket to the window frame .
Outside Recess
Ensure measurement C (diagram above) is equal on both sides for even coverage.
Step 2
Option 1: Top Fixing
If you're attaching the bracket to the underside of the window recess (B), measure and mark the distance (D), accounting for any obstructions like handles that protrude into the recess area. Hold each bracket in position and mark the hole locations. Drill holes and secure each bracket with suitable screws. Ensure the fixings are compatible for the wall or surface where the brackets will be mounted.
Option 2: Face Fixing
If you're attaching the bracket to the face of the wall or window frame, hold each bracket in position and mark the hole locations with a pencil. Drill holes and secure the brackets with suitable screws. Ensure the fixings are compatible for the wall or surface you're mounting the brackets on.
Step 3
Inserting the Roller
Ensure the blind is fully wound and insert the idle pin end into the bracket
Now depress the pin end and insert the control end into the opposite bracket. Pull down vertically until the control end clicks into place.
Step 4
Child Safety Device
Position safety device on wall and mark the two screw holes. Drill holes and secure suitable screws to secure device.
Please Note: To prevent the chain from slacking, the child safety device must be fixed at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism. The chain must be taut.
Warning: Child Safety
Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes, and inner cords that control the product. To prevent strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of reach of young children, as they can wrap around a child’s neck. Move beds, cots, and furniture away from window covering cords. Do not tie cords together and ensure they do not twist or form a loop.
Maintenance
Visual Checks
Your new blinds are maintenance free, but we recommend regular visual inspections to ensure no components are damaged, as this could lead to operational issues or pose a safety risk.
