Fixing & Controls
Multi-directional brackets are provided, allowing you to either face-fix or top-fix them to the wall or inside the window recess. Note that screws and wall plugs are not included, as the appropriate type will depend on your installation surface. Please ensure you use the correct fittings for your blinds. The cords on the blinds will be half the length of the total drop of the blind.
Valance
Wood blinds come with a matching valance. Recess size blinds are made to fit the width of the provided measurement, ensuring a neat fit inside the recess. For exact size blinds, typically used when installing outside the recess, the valance will be made wider with returns on each end to conceal the brackets.
Headrail
Our wooden and faux wood blinds feature a sturdy, color-coded headrail matching the color of your slats. For blinds with 50mm slats, the headrail dimensions are 42mm in height and 59mm in depth.
Stack Height
When fully raised, our wooden and faux wood blinds will occupy some space at the top of your window. The stack height depends on the total length of the blind. As a guide:
- A 150cm long blind = 25cm when raised
- A 200cm long blind = 31cm when raised
These measurements are from the top of the headrail to the underside of the bottom bar when fully raised.

Returns
Our products are custom-made and can only be returned if faulty. Ensure you are satisfied with the measurements you provide, as we cannot amend sizes once your order is placed.
Manufacturing Tolerance & Weight
Blinds are produced with a manufacturing tolerance of 4mm in both width and drop. Blinds over 200cm wide will be heavy due to the weight of the slats, so we recommend splitting them into two blinds. When ordering inside recess 12mm is deducted from the width, this is to allow for the headrail.
Number of Ladders
The number of ladders required for wooden blinds depends on the width of the blind. This ensures that the slats are properly supported and the blind functions smoothly. As a guide;
- For blinds up to 600mm wide: 2 ladders
- For blinds up to 1300mm wide: 4 ladders
Child Safety
Our blinds are designed to be child-safe and include the necessary child safety clips to secure cords out of children's reach. These safety features must be installed.
