Fitting Instructions

To ensure the blind operates smoothly, position brackets away from any window door handles or any other obstructions.  .

Step 1

Bracket Positioning

Inside Recess

To fit blinds inside the recess you have two options:

  1. Top fix the brackets to the lintel.
  2. Face fix bracket to the window frame .
Outside Recess

Ensure measurement C (diagram above) is equal on both sides for even coverage.

Step 2

Bracket Fixing

The brackets are universal and can be used for face fixing to the wall or window, or for top fixing into the top of the window recess.

If you choose to top fix the blind, make sure to position the brackets far enough away from the window to avoid interference with the window handles.

Brackets should not be installed within 10cm of the ends of the blind to allow for the raise and tilt mechanisms.

Once the brackets are installed, open the swivel arms so they face you.

Step 3

Inserting the Headrail

With the brackets now installed, take your blind and position it against the bracket, ensuring the metal swivel arms remain open and facing you.

Step 4 - Optional

Hold down Clips

This step is optional. Using two small screws, attach the hold-down clip to the window frame or wall/window recess. Then, insert the bracket pin ends into the holes at the bottom rail end.

Step 5 - Optional

Safety Cleat

This step is optional. The safety cleat should be installed as close to the headrail of the blind as possible, and in all cases, it must be no less than 1500mm from the floor.

Step 6 - Optional

Position the safety cleat on the wall where desired, marking the hole locations with a pencil. Drill the necessary holes.

In the pre-drilled holes, screw the safety cleat onto the wall.

Step 7

Wrap the Cords

Wrap the cords around the cord cleats in a figure of eight pattern. Once the cords are fully gathered, ensure they are securely fastened to prevent any excess from being released when the cord is pulled.

Step 8

Operation

To tilt the blind, pull the appropriate tilt cord tassel to adjust the slats to the open or closed position. For longer blind life, tilt the blinds to a horizontal position when lifting or lowering them.
